Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and data-driven Operations Manager to lead and optimize business operations at our Zoetermeer facility. This site specializes in the refurbishment of electronic devices, and the Operations Manager will oversee all technical and logistical workflows, ensuring performance, quality, and efficiency.
This role is a key partner to the Site General Manager, translating strategic objectives into operational action and directly influencing the P&L through process control, cost management, and productivity gains. The Operations Manager will lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies, while ensuring day-to-day operations run reliably and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
· Support the Site GM in delivering operational and financial performance by driving initiatives that impact the site's P&L, including labor efficiency, material control, and throughput improvement.
· Lead and coordinate all daily site operations, including device intake, diagnostics, repair, quality assurance, and outbound logistics.
· Use Lean tools and structured problem-solving to optimize process flow, reduce waste, and increase operational efficiency.
· Analyze operational data to identify trends and cost drivers; recommend and implement corrective actions to meet financial targets.
Establish and maintain robust procedures for:
o Verification of incoming and outgoing shipments
o Material handling, inventory accuracy, and warehouse control
o Salvage and reprocessing of damaged or used materials
· Oversee technical repair flows, ensuring consistent quality and timely turnaround in line with customer requirements.
· Drive standardization, compliance, and training across teams to ensure operational consistency.
· Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance to align processes with site goals and customer expectations.
· Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including productivity, quality, inventory, and cost per unit.
· Lead and promote a safety-first culture, including adherence to ESD handling protocols.
· Prepare business cases and support strategic decision-making by providing clear operational insight to the GM.
· Act as a visible, hands-on leader on the shop floor to engage teams, troubleshoot barriers, and ensure accountability.
· Build, develop and strengthen a flexible well trained labor team
Job requirements
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience in an operations leadership role, preferably in electronics repair, refurbishment, or reverse logistics.
Demonstrated ability to support P&L management through operational execution and cost control.
Strong experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other structured improvement methodologies (certification preferred).
Deep understanding of inventory control, technical workflows, and warehouse operations.
Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and team leadership skills.
Proficient in data analysis, KPI reporting, and operational decision-making.
