Job description

About Reconext

Reconext is a leading global provider of aftermarket lifecycle services for electronics, helping the world's most recognized brands extend the life of their devices - securely, sustainably, and at scale. Services span returns management and fulfillment, testing and grading, repair and refurbishment, asset recovery, and trade-in and buy-back, across consumer electronics, mobile, enterprise network and data storage, and more. With several thousand employees and facilities across the Americas, Europe, and Asia including an established operation in Prague, Reconext keeps devices and the value inside them in use and out of landfill.

Renewed Market is Reconext's direct-to-consumer brand, selling refurbished electronics across Shopify, eBay, Amazon, and Back Market, and expanding rapidly across Europe.

About the role

We are looking for an eCommerce Manager with hands-on experience running an Amazon or DTC store to own Renewed Market's EU marketplace setup, launches, and day-to-day operations - Amazon EU above all - as we scale across Europe.

This is a hands-on role for someone who has done something like this before. You will own the operational and administrative legwork of launching and running EU marketplaces, take operational ownership of EU pricing and compliance, and work directly with the VP of eCommerce on our European strategy - standing to challenge assumptions and shape launch sequencing rather than simply execute instructions. This is an individual-contributor role today, with scope to grow as the operation scales, working cross-functionally with all areas of the organization. The role is based in the Czech Republic, ideally within the Prague area, supporting our established operation there.

What you will own

  • Marketplace setup and launches - end-to-end onboarding of new EU markets, Amazon EU, Back Market, eBay, and Shopify: account setup, localization, catalogue configuration, and go-live. You will run launches and have real input into market sequencing and strategy.

  • Pricing - own EU repricing logic and competitor response, setting and adjusting pricing across marketplaces to protect ranking, buy-box position, and margin.

  • Day-to-day operations - live listings, account health, SLA compliance, dispute resolution, and buyer messaging across EU marketplaces.

  • EU compliance - operational support of VAT/OSS, WEEE and battery compliance, and invoicing across European markets, working with Finance and external providers.

  • Fulfillment and logistics – support logistics teams with cross-border fulfillment, carrier and label setup, and returns for the EU operation.

  • Strategy contribution - bring specialist EU marketplace knowledge, surface opportunities, and challenge assumptions on market selection and approach.

  • Performance - monitor competitor pricing and report on EU marketplace performance.

Job requirements

Candidate Profile

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience operating an Amazon or direct-to-consumer store, with a practical understanding of the day-to-day demands of running an online retail operation.

  • Based in the Czech Republic, with the Prague area strongly preferred.

  • Fluent written and spoken English.

Desirable

  • Experience establishing or managing marketplace or DTC operations in Europe, particularly on Amazon EU (Seller Central).

  • Familiarity with EU marketplace requirements — VAT/OSS, WEEE and battery compliance, cross-border selling, and localization — or a clear capacity to take ownership of these areas and learn them quickly.

  • Confidence across core operational disciplines, including pricing and competitor response, fulfillment and carrier setup, returns, and marketplace account health.

  • A hands-on, ownership-driven approach: able to work at pace, think strategically, and constructively challenge assumptions.

  • Proficiency with data tools and internal platforms, with strong attention to catalogue and pricing accuracy.

  • Comfortable working independently in a solo, remote-friendly role.

  • Experience in the refurbished or recommerce electronics sector.

  • A second language alongside English, with German (DACH) or Dutch (Netherlands) particularly valuable for our expansion plans.

  • A track record of launching marketplaces or DTC operations in new countries, ideally including Germany (DACH) or the Netherlands.

How this role fits

This role reports to the VP of eCommerce, who leads European strategy, the EU P&L, change management, and the scaling of the US operation. Working in close partnership, you will take end-to-end ownership of EU execution - including launches, pricing, compliance, fulfillment, and day-to-day operations - and contribute meaningfully to market sequencing and wider strategy. We are looking for someone who does more than execute you will be expected to bring informed perspective and challenge assumptions where appropriate. This is currently a standalone role, with clear scope to grow as the European operation scales.
