Program Manager

Position Summary:

The Program Manager is responsible for a customer program and/or specific functional area within Operations. Responsibility includes ensuring the group achieves the customer and operational metrics. Interfaces with the customer to resolve problems and address any escalation issues. Works directly with all functional areas within the site.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Plans operation functions, establishes priorities and sequences for material flow and inventory management and ensures accuracy of department personnel information and time clock tracking.
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate levels of inventory throughout the shipping, receiving and warehouse areas.
  • Establishes operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current and directs salvage of damaged or used material.
  • Identifies, develops and implements systems improvements to streamline work process and obtain operation statistics to manage the operation to optimum efficiency.
  • Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment and prepares work order for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment.
  • Develops methodology for enhancement or integration of customer programs and the continuous process improvements required to reduce costs and manage work flow and labor.
  • Works with program management to proactively identify operational enhancements and additions that can help optimize on-going operations and provide Reconext customers and stakeholders with optimized value.
  • Coordinates the review and revision of customer contracts and provides reporting on compliance to performance service levels and quality standards.
  • Assists in customer presentations, site visits at either customer or company locations as required and maintains a professional image at all times.
  • Develops and maintains department operational reports to manage work outputs, productivity, control, and revenue.
  • Determines standards of performance as a basis to review progress of personnel assigned.
  • Develops and coaches’ individuals for future advancement.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.


Job requirements

Education and Experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in business administration or relevant disciplines from an accredited university.

• 5+ years account or program management experience in successfully delivering solutions, preferably in an electronic service-oriented organization.

• Experience in ICT related industry, either at an OEM or ODM level, would be beneficial. Job

• Understanding of ISO9001 and/or TL9000, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing a plus.

• Excellent people relationship skills – listening, questioning, negotiating, motivating, conflict & problem resolution.
