Position: Sr. Human Resources Generalist

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sr. Human Resources Generalist provides a variety of Human Resources services and support in several key areas. Duties may include but are not limited to; employee engagement, recruitment, on-boarding, organizational development, talent management, compensation and compliance. This position may also contribute to special initiatives, programs and projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Supports organizational effectiveness through alignment of people, processes, structure, and culture with business strategies.  

  • Foster company culture & value to ensure a great working environment.

  • Takes initiative to manage employee data in HRIS; maintains data integrity.

  • Provides HR metrics and makes recommendations to improve business performance.

  • Work with HR management on projects to improve organizational culture and climate.

  • Work with Shared Services on the implementation of programs.

  • Coaches managers, supervisors and line leaders on effective staff management and the correct application of internal labor regulations, policies disciplinary actions and procedures.

  • Maintains accurate employee personnel records in HRIS system and with physical records (as needed).

  • Maintains a good working relationship both within the department and with other departments.

  • Respond to and resolve inquiries, complaints and concerns from employees and managers.

  • Promotes recognition programs.

  • Reviews and approves performance evaluations of staff.

  • Responsible for development and coordination of events for staff within approved budget.

  • Assist with investigations.

  • Partner with HR team and business leaders on regional projects and programs.

  • Performs exit interviews and analyzes trends for organizational changes.

  • Interfaces with employees regarding questions related to hours, wages, timecards, and general concerns.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Job requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Psychology or related field preferred.

  • Experience with end-to-end recruitment of talent.

  • Experience managing through organizational change.

  • Strong written and verbal communications.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities.

  • Experience in manufacturing preferred.

  • Experience in MS Office, strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • Hours- This position is primarily a day shift position, however  must be flexible and willing to provided coverage of 2nd shift as necessary and will require to stay late one night a week for orientation needs.
