IT Developer- Mexicali, MX

The Developer works within a regional or global development team, assisting with the production of quality code and in supporting/maintaining Business Systems (Applications). These Applications enable Reconext to meet its goals and support customer program demands, as efficiently and effectively as possible. This position can expect to receive other tasks as assigned by the IT Manager.

• Work within a development team to produce code, meeting the specification provided. Assist other members of the team in meeting their objectives.

• Assist Business Analysts or Operations Teams in developing Functional Specifications and defining enhancements for applications; investigate and apply fixes to rectify system bugs.

• Perform unit testing on code developed, participate in code reviews, and undertake testing of code developed by others.

• Develop high quality applications using prescribed tools (.Net Core, REST API, MSSQL, Bootstrap, JQuery, javascript).

• Follow development and coding standards and guidelines.

• Provide direct end user support and system training, as required.

• Adhere to IT processes, including issue tracking, and report time spent as requested.

• Ensure code is managed within the central repository, and correctly versioned. (DevOps, SVN)

• Work with all levels of management to improve IT and the business that it supports.

• Review and provide feedback on functional and detailed specifications; commit to schedule as appropriate.

• May need to be available ‘out of hours’ to support operations and/or specific customer demands.

Education/Training:

BS in Computer Science or equivalent education and/or experience

Appropriate external certification is a plus!

Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory

Technical Skills:

.Net Core, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, C#, REST API, JSON, XML, XSLT, HTML5, CSS3, Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and above, Oracle 9i and above

Nice to Have:

Azure, DevOps, SVN, MySQL, SCRUM

Work Experience:

Five or more years of professional experience in designing, developing, and maintaining complex web-based or client/server applications using .Net Core and SQL.
