The Facilities Technician is part of a team that is responsible for all repairs, preventative maintenance and emergency situations at our facilities in the DFW area. Previous experience is required.

Facilities Technician- Starting at $25/hr.

Position Summary:

The Facilities Technician is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of all facilities within the Dallas-Fort Worth geographical region, acting as the back-up contact for emergency situations that affect the company’s ability to do business.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Acts as a contact for employees to address any building issues related to climate control, Odors, smoke, spills, damage, emergencies, Maintenance, and repairs.
  • Monitor and manage the Facilities maintenance request system.
  • May monitor contractor performance and work closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed according to specifications.
  • Assists with maintaining building security and immediately responds to building emergencies.
  • Assists preparation of maintenance schedules, PM’s and operational routines.
  • Monitors and replaces light bulbs in all assigned facilities, as needed.
  • Makes minor plumbing and painting repairs, as necessary.
  • Coordinates and assists with departmental and employee moves.
  • Performs basic electrical work and determines when an electrician is required.
  • Dismantles and installs furniture, cubes walls and warehouse racking.
  • Transports goods via PIT equipment.
  • Performs scheduled cleaning duties necessary to maintain clean facility.
  • Must have the ability to become certified and proficient in the operation of forklifts and scissor lifts.
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.



Job requirements

Education/ Work Experience:

  • Certificate in trade school or equivalent work experience in any field related to maintenance, plumbing or electrical.
  • 1-2 years of Construction and/or Facilities maintenance experience.
  • Must have computer program (MS Office) experience and be able to utilize/view a PC and/or monitor. 
  • Must be able to demonstrate basic understanding of Facilities Operations and procedures.
