We have extensive expertise in data center dispositioning, providing secure and sustainable solutions for the removal, processing, and remarketing of servers, storage, networking equipment, and other data center assets.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Partners and Business Growth with a proven track record in sales and/or procurement within the data center industry. This is not an analyst position. The individual will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities, working with our partners and their large data center clients. This role requires a deep understanding of the data center industry, including the challenges and opportunities related to IT asset lifecycle management, procurement processes, and sales cycles. This role will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to drive business growth within the data center sector, with a primary focus on servicing and enabling partners and their clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute partner-centric business growth strategies: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, with a focus on building and managing relationships with key partners who service the data center market.

  • Enable partner success: Provide partners with the resources, training, and support they need to effectively sell and deliver Reconext's value recovery services to their clients.

  • Strategic planning: Contribute to the development and execution of Reconext's overall business strategy, with a focus on the data center market and the partner ecosystem.

  • Market analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential opportunities within the data center industry, with a particular focus on the partner landscape.

  • Build and manage a robust pipeline: Generate leads, qualify prospects, and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers within target organizations, including both direct clients and partner organizations.

  • Drive revenue growth: Achieve or exceed revenue targets by closing new business deals with both direct clients and through partner channels.

  • Collaborate with internal teams: Work closely with operations, marketing, and finance to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction for both direct clients and partner-led engagements.

  • Understand client needs: Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify client pain points and develop tailored solutions that leverage Reconext's value recovery services, working closely with partners to understand their clients' specific requirements.

  • Present compelling proposals: Collaborate with internal teams and partners to create and deliver persuasive proposals that demonstrate the value proposition of Reconext's services to end clients.

  • Negotiate and close deals: Effectively negotiate contracts and close deals that meet or exceed revenue targets, working in conjunction with partners as needed.

  • Manage sales pipeline: Maintain an active and healthy sales pipeline to ensure consistent business growth, tracking both direct and partner-influenced opportunities.

  • Stay ahead of the curve: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies within the data center space, sharing insights and knowledge with partners to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications:

  • Proven Sales and/or Procurement Experience: 8+ years of experience in a sales, business development, or procurement role within the data center industry, with a demonstrable track record of success in acquiring new business, driving revenue growth, and/or managing complex procurement processes. Experience in channel sales or partner management is highly desirable.

  • Data Center Expertise: Deep understanding of data center operations, procurement processes, IT asset lifecycle management, and sales cycles.

  • Strong Network: Existing relationships with key decision-makers within the data center industry and partner ecosystem are a significant plus.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences, including partners and end clients.

  • Solution-Oriented Mindset: Ability to identify client needs and develop creative solutions to address them, working collaboratively with partners to tailor offerings.

  • Strong Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate and close deals that are mutually beneficial for both Reconext, its partners, and end clients.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and develop long-term growth plans, incorporating the partner ecosystem into the overall strategy.

  • Self-Starter: Highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a strong work ethic.

  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners to achieve shared goals.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, supply chain management, or a related field.

  • Master's degree is a plus.
